Alexander Herle

Alex moved to Ottawa in 2012 from Sault Ste. Marie to attend Carleton University for his undergraduate studies, and remained in Ottawa to complete his law degree at the University of Ottawa.

Alex has been with Williams Litigation Lawyers since May 2018, when he began as a Summer Law Student doing legal research and gaining valuable experience under the guidance of the other lawyers. Alex continued at the firm throughout his third year of law school and also completed his articling placement with the firm. Following his Call to the Bar in 2020, Alex was invited to join the firm as an Associate Lawyer.

Alex strives to develop a strong working relationship with each of his clients in order to understand and appreciate their specific circumstances and their goals in litigation. He is meticulous in building his clients’ cases, and ensures that he provides his clients with the knowledge they need to make difficult decisions when proceeding through litigation. While Alex is always looking for the most efficient way to resolve his clients’ matters through settlement, he is always prepared to bring matters to trial if necessary.

Alex has worked on a variety of matters during his time with the firm, including insurance defence, personal injury, property damage, employment litigation, and contract disputes. He is looking to build his practice early on in his career, and is not afraid to take on a difficult or complex matter.

In his spare time, as an avid sports fan, Alex enjoys watching football, playing basketball and tennis, working out, and running. As well, Alex enjoys a variety of tabletop games with friends and plays guitar.
